Praise Him Anyways

Recently, a couple of children in our church were injured, in seperate accidents. At first, both seemed almost unbelievably tragic to have occured. Thankfully, each child was not as injured as first assumed, or at least not as badly as initally feared. But, this gave me a thought. Why do we praise God?

Are you praising Him for what He has done, or will do for you? Is it only because He benefited you in some way, or what? I think it is fine to lift up God's name in praise as a thanks for the things He has done, but are you doing only that?

What do I mean? Well, I think what I'm trying to say is, Praise Him just BECAUSE! Just because He is God, praise Him anyways, in the good, praise Him, in the bad, praise Him.

Are you worshipping Santa Clause or are you worshipping the creator of the universe?
