CHANGE

Life is full of changes. We once rode a horse to church and town. Now a car takes us just a mile or two that we once would have walked. Believing in an unchanging God is a foreign thing to the ever changing mind of man. We are anything but STABLE. And God is STABILITY eternally. An unchanging God is important from a few aspects. WE want you to see the importance of God’s unwavering and stable personality.

First of all, God is always God. There was a day that I was not a father, but now I am. There was a day when I was not a husband, but now I am. God has always been God. He has never stopped doing that. There was never a time He wasn’t.God’s attributes, that which describes Him, never change. Eternal, omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscience are attributes that can’t be changed about God. He will always be these characteristics. He can’t stop being, that which is His aspects.

God’s promises are unchanging. When God promises to do something, it will or has happened. It is unchanging and unchangeable. One great proof of the validity of God’s Word is the prophecies in the Old Testament. Or, Jesus only fulfilling 8 prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 28th power which is 1 with 28 zeroes behind it. In comparison, your chance of being struck by lighting is 1 in 700,000.

Finally, I want to point out the unchanging love of God. God’s love, based on Him and not the objects, is never wavering. What makes it so awesome is it can’t be earned or diminished. You can’t make God love you more or less. It is a valuable part of the unchangeableness of God.

So, as part of the AWESOMENESS of God it is He is not changing, won’t change and is always what He is.
